Lidocaine Infusion refers to the practice of adding an anaesthetic agent (for example, Lidocaine) into a fat-dissolving product such as Aqualyx to make the treatment more comfortable for your client. Lidocaine is commonly used because it has a fast onset of 1–2 minutes and lasts approximately 1–2 hours.
This manual provides the underpinning theory and guidance to help you understand how Lidocaine can be incorporated safely into your fat-dissolving procedures once you are trained, qualified and working under a prescriber where required.
When you complete your accredited Fat Dissolve Course, your certificate will include the administration of Lidocaine as part of your authorised treatment protocol.
